Chris Riley has been married to Pat for 37 years and has been involved in every aspect of his NBA life from player, announcer, and two-time retirement to current coach and president of the Miami HEAT.  Early in Pat's career, Chris obtained her MA in Counseling & Guidance and spent 6 years in her own private practice as a California Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist.  She became an integral part of Pat's life on the court in LA, NY, and Miami, helping to set up team charities involving players, coaches and management staff.  Her efforts have raised millions of dollars along with the awareness of the importance of giving back.  Chris is a devoted mother to two nearly-grown children, manages their homes and serves as VP of Riles & Company.  Chris feels deeply about God and has privately been a follower of Christ from her youth. Prompted by the faithfulness of God in her life and the desire to tell the story of her own experience of “gathering” with a few women in Miami to deepen her walk with God, THE GATHERING will be Chris’ debut to speak about her faith.

Janet Drew lives a fulfilling life following the "bouncing ball" with her family. She began as the daughter of a pro baseball scout who included his family in his travels.  She met Homer Drew while attending college in Missouri and became a coach's wife in 1967.  Homer coached high school basketball in St. Louis and Kansas City before taking a job at Washington State University where their firstborn son joined the “team”.  Baton Rouge came next when Homer assisted Dale Brown at LSU.  Two children later they landed in Indiana with Homer’s first head coaching job at Bethel College.  Almost 20 years ago, Coach Drew accepted the head coaching job at Valparaiso University where Janet, a veteran school teacher, supervised student teachers and they began putting down roots.  Their oldest son is married, has two children, and is the head basketball coach at Baylor University.  Their daughter married a pro basketball player and now resides in Italy with their four children.  Their youngest, a son, is married to a professional ballerina and is an assistant coach with his Dad. As the ball continues to bounce, Janet makes time to mentor young women and care for her aging parents.
